Visa Entry

1. According to the bilateral agreement between China and Argentina, Chinese citizens holding diplomatic, official and service ordinary passports (excluding corporate personnel) can enter Argentina visa free and stay for 30 days after entry; Holders of Hong Kong SAR passports can enter Argentina visa free and stay for 90 days after entry; Holders of Macau SAR passports can enter Argentina visa free and stay for 30 days; Individuals holding other types of passports entering Argentina must obtain a visa in advance.

2. According to the revised "Agreement between the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of the Republic of Argentina on Facilitating Visa Procedures for Tourist Personnel" and "Agreement between the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of the Republic of Argentina on Facilitating Visa Procedures for Business Personnel", China and Argentina will issue ten-year valid, multiple entry tourist and business visas to eligible citizens of each other from June 15, 2017. Chinese citizens who intend to apply for the above-mentioned visas in Argentina are advised to pay attention to the following:

(1) Apply for a ten-year, multiple entry tourist visa

a、 Eligibility: Chinese citizens holding Chinese ordinary passports who intend to travel to Argentina;

b、 Application materials: visa application form, photo, passport, proof of income, round-trip airfare, hotel reservation or itinerary arrangement required by the Argentine Embassy in China;

c、 Application location: Argentine embassies and consulates in various countries can apply.

(2) Apply for a ten-year valid, multiple entry business visa

a、 Eligibility: Chinese citizens holding Chinese ordinary passports who intend to engage in business activities in Argentina;

b、 Application materials: visa application form, photos, passport, invitation letter and other materials required by the Argentine Embassy in China;

c、 Application location: Limited to the Embassy of Argentina in China.

(3) After obtaining the above-mentioned visa, if a new passport is replaced due to passport expiration or other reasons, one can still travel to Argentina with the new passport and the old passport with a valid Argentine visa. But if there are changes in the type of new passport and the information such as name, gender, date of birth on the passport, the holder must apply for a new visa.

4. At present, the Argentine government provides convenience for Chinese citizens who meet the following conditions to travel to Argentina: the applicant holds a US B1/B2 ten-year multiple entry visa or a corresponding category visa, and has used the relevant visa at least once in the past 2 years. They can apply for an electronic travel permit (AVE) on the website of the Argentine National Immigration Office, and after obtaining approval from the Argentine National Immigration Office, they can enter Argentina for tourism. 5. Special note: The application confirmation form and payment voucher for the electronic entry permit of the Afghan side do not have entry functions. Relevant passengers are required to submit their applications in advance and confirm approval before departure to avoid any obstacles during entry.

Customs epidemic prevention and control

According to the relevant regulations of Argentine customs, items that cannot be brought into the country include fruits, meat products, insects, animals and plants. Argentine customs have strict entry checks and punishments for foreign citizens. It is recommended that Chinese citizens do not bring the above-mentioned items into Argentina to avoid unnecessary trouble.

In addition, Argentine customs have strict regulations on bringing goods, exhibits or samples into the country. Recently, there have been multiple cases of Chinese business personnel carrying large quantities of exhibits or samples into the country, and related materials have been temporarily detained or subject to customs duties. air traffic

At present, there are no direct flights between China and Argentina. Please pay attention to applying for a transit visa to a third country when traveling to Argentina.

Domestic flights in Argentina are mostly operated by Argentine Airlines and Chilean Latam Airlines.

Buenos Aires has two airports, namely Aeroparque Internacional Jorge Newbery (AEP), located in the city center with convenient transportation.
