Visa Entry

Chinese citizens need to apply for a visa to travel to Belize. If you hold a valid multiple entry Schengen visa, multiple entry visa to the United States or Canada, or permanent residency, and your stay does not exceed 30 days, you can enter Belize visa free. Upon entry, a valid passport, return ticket within 30 days, and sufficient security deposit are required.

Visa applicants can apply directly to the Belize Immigration Department through their relatives or travel agency agents in Belize, or through the visa application center of the British Embassy in China.

Special reminder: When entering the country, please prepare the contact information and hotel reservation of the inviter from Belize. If you encounter any problems during entry, you can ask the immigration officer to verify the relevant information with the inviter.

Customs epidemic prevention and control

When entering the country, if carrying items such as plants, fruits, vegetables, meat, live poultry, weapons and ammunition, or holding more than 10000 Belize dollars or equivalent foreign currency, it is necessary to declare.

Belize Customs will inspect incoming goods in accordance with the law. Failure to declare in advance or comply with Belize Customs regulations may result in fines or confiscation.

Common infectious diseases in Belize include hepatitis, dengue fever, chikungunya fever, Zika, yellow fever, and malaria, which are mainly transmitted through mosquitoes and insects. Please receive relevant vaccines in advance according to Belize's health and epidemic prevention requirements, and obtain an International Travel Health Check Certificate and an International Certificate of Vaccination or Preventive Measures for inspection upon entry. If vaccination is not possible due to physical reasons, corresponding medical certificates must be presented and English notarization must be processed.

Residency and Naturalization

To work and live in Belize, one needs to apply for a corresponding work permit and residence permit. After legally residing in Belize for one year, one can apply for permanent residency in Belize. After holding permanent residency in Belize for at least 5 years, one can apply for citizenship.

Chinese tourists are advised to travel to Belize with caution, avoid independent travel, avoid going to remote or unfamiliar areas, try to travel with groups, and maintain high vigilance when going out. land transport

There are road connections between towns in Belize, and people generally travel by bus, but buses to remote locations only run once a day.
