Cameroonian visas are divided into transit visas, tourist visas, temporary visas (up to 3 months), and long-term visas. The Agreement between the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of Cameroon on Mutual Exemption of Visa Requirements for Diplomatic and Official Passport Holders officially came into effect on August 12, 2017. The agreement stipulates that citizens of one contracting party holding valid diplomatic or official passports of their own country who enter, exit or transit through the other contracting party for a period not exceeding 30 days are exempt from visa application. If you want to visit relatives and friends, invest or do business in Cameroon, you need to apply for a pre visa QR code online (www.evisacam. cm) in advance, and use the QR code to apply for a visa at Yaound é or Douala airport.

After arriving in Kazakhstan, if staying for more than 3 months, one must apply for a residence permit at the immigration office. The residence permit is divided into short-term (2 years) and long-term (10 years) types, and a replacement application should be submitted one month before the expiration of the residence permit. During this period, if you need to leave the country (whether or not you want to return to Kazakhstan), you must apply for an exit visa. You can apply for local citizenship after living in Kazakhstan for at least 6 years. According to the Cameroonian Nationality Law, anyone born in Cameroon or whose parents are Cameroonians can acquire Cameroonian nationality after birth. Ka does not recognize dual citizenship.
Cameroon currently has 2 red (extremely high-risk) areas, 3 orange (high-risk) areas, and the rest of the areas are yellow (medium risk). Specifically, as follows:
1、 Red regions: Southwest and Northwest regions. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reminds Chinese citizens not to travel to the above-mentioned areas in Cameroon in the near future. Personnel and institutions in the area should evacuate or transfer to safe areas as soon as possible. In case of emergency, please report to the police in a timely manner and contact the Chinese embassy or consulate in the local area.
2、 Orange regions: Adamawa Region, Northern Region, and Extreme North Region. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reminds Chinese citizens to travel cautiously to the above-mentioned areas in Cameroon in the near future. Local personnel and institutions have closely monitored the development of the situation, maintained high vigilance, strengthened security precautions and emergency preparations, and ensured personal and property safety. In case of emergency, please report to the police in a timely manner and contact the Chinese embassy or consulate in the local area.
3、 Yellow region: Other regions. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reminds personnel in other regions of Cameroon to strengthen prevention and pay attention to safety. In case of emergency, please report to the police in a timely manner and contact the Chinese embassy or consulate in the local area.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and overseas embassies and consulates will continue to closely monitor changes in the overseas security situation, dynamically adjust relevant risk assessments, and release and update corresponding security reminders in real time on platforms such as the China Consular Service Network. Please continue to pay attention.
The political situation in Cameroon is stable, but the overall security situation is relatively severe. Violent activities continue to occur in the Southwest and Northwest regions, resulting in deaths of military, police, and civilians, as well as frequent attacks and kidnappings targeting foreign citizens. Terrorist organizations operate frequently in the Adamawa, northern, and northernmost regions, with incidents of hijacking and terrorist attacks occurring from time to time. Central cities such as Douala and Yaound é often experience theft and robbery cases. Chinese citizens are reminded not to travel to the southwestern and northwestern regions of Kazakhstan in the near future. They should be cautious when traveling to the Adamawa, northern, and northernmost regions. Personnel in other areas should strengthen their precautions and pay attention to safety.
It is not advisable to bring too much cash when going out, and one should always be vigilant. You should carry copies of your passport, residence permit, etc. with you for identity verification to prevent the loss of the original documents. When living in a city villa or apartment, it is best to hire a 24-hour security guard and confirm that the guard's identity is reliable. Robbers often rob off-road jeeps and double row small trucks, usually for money and property. In case of danger, they insist on prioritizing life safety and try to avoid direct conflicts with the robbers.
Reduce nighttime travel, pay attention to traffic safety, and do not drive under the influence of alcohol. Be highly vigilant when suspicious individuals are found near your workplace or residence. In case of danger, please take appropriate preventive measures and report to the local police (+237-117) while ensuring your own safety, and contact the embassy for assistance (+237-697699283) in a timely manner.
Overall, there are few natural disasters, and there are often thunderstorms during the rainy season. Pay attention to lightning protection. Cameroon's infrastructure construction is relatively backward, and the northern region is prone to floods during the rainy season. The Yaounde Douala highway has many sharp turns and frequent traffic accidents. It is necessary to fasten your seat belt while driving to prevent fatigue or high-speed driving. There are strong winds and waves at the seaside, so it is advisable to avoid swimming in the sea, especially when swimming alone.
Cameroon is a high-risk area for diseases such as malaria, cholera, and yellow fever. Special attention should be paid to food safety and efforts should be made to avoid mosquito bites. The local water source is severely polluted, and the purification level of tap water is insufficient. Attention should be paid to drinking water safety.

Air France, Ethiopian Airlines, Kenya Airlines, Belgium Airlines, Türkiye Airlines and other companies provide non-stop air services to Cameroon from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hong Kong and other major cities in China. Generally, they can arrive in Yaounde or Douala after transit through Paris, Addis Ababa, Brussels, Nairobi, Istanbul and other places. Yaound é International Airport is about a 50 minute drive from the city center and can be reached by taxi. Douala Airport is relatively close to the city center. There are very few domestic flights in Kazakhstan, mainly between several major cities, and there are frequent delays.
The road conditions between cities are poor, and serious accidents occur frequently, especially on the Yaound é - Douala section. When traveling by local buses or other public transportation, one should take a vehicle in good condition. At present, there are two main railway lines used for passenger and freight transportation, among which the Yaounde to Engandere section is about 619 kilometers (about a 12 hour drive); The distance from Yaound é to Douala is about 294 kilometers (approximately a 4-hour drive).
The vehicle is driving on the right side. Please comply with local traffic regulations and bring your local driver's license when driving. Chinese driver's license cannot be directly used locally and needs to be replaced with a local driver's license. Chinese embassies and consulates abroad do not handle domestic driver's license notarization for Chinese citizens. If necessary, please have your driver's license notarized in China before going to Kazakhstan and complete the certification procedures as needed. If the parties are abroad and unable to return to China to handle the matter, they may entrust others (domestic relatives, lawyers, etc.) to handle it.
The main seaports are Douala, Limbe, and Kribi. Douala Port is the largest port in Cameroon, with cargo throughput accounting for 60% of the total cargo throughput of ports in the country. There is basically no waterway transportation, only small wooden boats on inland rivers are used for sightseeing and tourism, with poor safety. It is recommended to wear life jackets when riding.
Public transportation is underdeveloped, with only a few bus routes. The main roads in the city are paved with asphalt, and there are street lights at night. Most of the branch roads have poor road conditions and no lighting equipment. The roads in the city are congested and traffic accidents occur frequently. Citizens usually take taxis (500-1000 francs) or motorcycles for travel, and taxis often suffer from serious overloading or drivers arbitrarily stopping to carry passengers while driving. It is recommended not to travel by motorcycle. When walking, pay attention to taking care of your backpack, belongings, etc., and be particularly vigilant against "motorcycle gangs" robbing.
The capital city of Yaound é, founded in 1880, is the second largest city in the country, with an altitude of about 750 meters. The urban area is distributed on seven hills, known as the "City of Seven Hills". The Sanaga River and Nyon River flow through both sides of the city.
Douala is the largest city, economic center, and capital of the Coastal Region in Cameroon. It is also the largest port city in Cameroon and the largest commercial and transportation hub in the country.
Other major cities include Bafusan, Bamenda, Kribi, Limbe, Malua, etc.
Sorghum, corn, cassava, and banana are several grain crops with a wide planting area and high output value, as well as economic crops such as cocoa, coffee, palm oil, rubber, tea, sugar, tobacco, and bananas. The supply of commonly used goods is relatively sufficient, agricultural products are basically self-sufficient, and industrial products rely heavily on imports. There are several large supermarkets where food and daily necessities imported from Europe can be purchased. The overall price is relatively high.
The currency of the Central African Republic is the CFA Franc, a currency issued by the Bank of Central African Economic Community countries. 1 euro is equivalent to 656 CFA francs (fixed exchange rate), 1 US dollar is equivalent to 618 CFA francs, and 1 Chinese yuan is equivalent to 85 CFA francs. Usually paid in cash or by check.
The main banking institutions include Afriland First Group, Soci é t é G é n é rale de Cameroon (SGBC), Commercial Bank of Cameroon (SCB), Ecobank Cameroon, Standard Chartered Cameroon, and some small financial credit institutions.
The high incidence area of malaria in Cameroon has various clinical manifestations, such as fever, limb soreness, diarrhea, tremors, etc. If there is any discomfort, timely medical treatment is necessary. Kashgar is one of the 24 African countries hardest hit by AIDS. According to official statistics in 2022, there are about 480000 AIDS virus carriers in Kashgar, accounting for 1.7% of the total population. Cholera has occurred in Cameroon and is particularly severe in Douala. In addition, diseases with high incidence rate include typhoid fever, liver disease and tuberculosis.
The local medical conditions are poor, and the facilities of hospitals at all levels are outdated and rudimentary. Drugs and equipment mainly rely on imports, and only a few drugs such as aspirin can be produced. There is a serious shortage of medical care and medication in rural areas. The drug prices are relatively high.

Ka is a country with multiple tribes, languages, and religions. In history, it was once a "protectorate" of Germany, but later came under the "mandate" and "trusteeship" of France and Britain. Due to differences in region, tribe, language, and religious beliefs, customs vary. Except for Muslim believers who avoid eating pork and drinking alcohol, there are no special taboos for other residents. In social situations, women can shake hands with men. For the first time in a relationship, besides saying morning, afternoon, and goodnight to each other, they also shake hands. When they are familiar with each other or show great respect, men and men, women and women, or between men and women, can perform a face to face ceremony. But for the chief, people generally cannot shake hands or hug, and should maintain a certain distance to pay attention. When attending formal events or meeting with local government officials, they should try to wear formal attire.
The Internet is mainly popular in large cities of Kazakhstan, but the network coverage rate is low, the network speed is slow, and the cost is high.

The voltage is 220V, the power socket is a round hole plug, and it can carry a French power conversion socket.
The main telecommunications operators in the area are Orange in France and MTN in South Africa. Domestic calls are 60-70 African francs per minute (about 0.8 yuan), while international calls are 150-200 African francs per minute (about 2 yuan).
