Visa Entry

Cameroonian visas are divided into transit visas, tourist visas, temporary visas (up to 3 months), and long-term visas. The Agreement between the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of Cameroon on Mutual Exemption of Visa Requirements for Diplomatic and Official Passport Holders officially came into effect on August 12, 2017. The agreement stipulates that citizens of one contracting party holding valid diplomatic or official passports of their own country who enter, exit or transit through the other contracting party for a period not exceeding 30 days are exempt from visa application. If you want to visit relatives and friends, invest or do business in Cameroon, you need to apply for a pre visa QR code online (www.evisacam. cm) in advance, and use the QR code to apply for a visa at Yaound é or Douala airport.

Customs epidemic prevention and control

Upon entry, passport, visa, and International Vaccination Certificate must be presented. Can carry 500g of tobacco, 400 cigarettes, or 125 cigars; 3 bottles of wine, 1 bottle of Baijiu or other spirits. When leaving the country, customs impose export taxes on black wood carvings, coffee, chocolate, and other items used for commercial purposes; Wild animal products such as ivory and pangolin scales are strictly prohibited from being carried out of the country, and violators will be punished by law. Carrying cash of less than 1 million CFA francs or equivalent foreign currency (approximately 1500 euros, 1700 US dollars) into or out of the country does not require declaration. If the amount exceeds the above, it must be declared. Merchants are not allowed to carry more than 10 million CFA francs or equivalent foreign currency and must provide relevant documents to prove their identity. Customs will charge a fee of 5000 to 50000 CFA francs based on the declared amount. Local customs officials have a greater degree of flexibility in law enforcement. To avoid unnecessary trouble, it is recommended to minimize the amount of imported and exported goods. Unauthorized personnel are prohibited from carrying or wearing military uniforms (including military shoes, caps, etc.). Violators will be sentenced to 3 months to 2 years in prison and fined 50000 to 200000 CFA francs.

Residency and Naturalization

After arriving in Kazakhstan, if staying for more than 3 months, one must apply for a residence permit at the immigration office. The residence permit is divided into short-term (2 years) and long-term (10 years) types, and a replacement application should be submitted one month before the expiration of the residence permit. During this period, if you need to leave the country (whether or not you want to return to Kazakhstan), you must apply for an exit visa. You can apply for local citizenship after living in Kazakhstan for at least 6 years. According to the Cameroonian Nationality Law, anyone born in Cameroon or whose parents are Cameroonians can acquire Cameroonian nationality after birth. Ka does not recognize dual citizenship.

Cameroon currently has 2 red (extremely high-risk) areas, 3 orange (high-risk) areas, and the rest of the areas are yellow (medium risk). Specifically, as follows:

1、 Red regions: Southwest and Northwest regions. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reminds Chinese citizens not to travel to the above-mentioned areas in Cameroon in the near future. Personnel and institutions in the area should evacuate or transfer to safe areas as soon as possible. air traffic

Air France, Ethiopian Airlines, Kenya Airlines, Belgium Airlines, Türkiye Airlines and other companies provide non-stop air services to Cameroon from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hong Kong and other major cities in China. Generally, they can arrive in Yaounde or Douala after transit through Paris, Addis Ababa, Brussels, Nairobi, Istanbul and other places. land transport
