Visa Entry

Chinese citizens can apply for visas at the Embassy of Kuwait in China or apply for landing visas at the Immigration Department of Kuwait (Moroni International Airport). Mayotte Island is under actual control of France, and a French visa is required to travel to Malaysia.

The main types of Comoros visas include: diplomatic, official, hospitality, tourism, family visits, business, work, settlement, etc.

To apply for a visa to study abroad, the following documents must be submitted: 1. Passport (valid for more than 6 months); 2. Round trip airfare orders; 3. Hotel booking; 4. One application form; 5. Four photos.

The implementation of biometric landing visas requires the collection of the applicant's facial features and fingerprints. The visa is valid for no more than 45 days, and ordinary passport holders applying for entry visas must pay a visa fee of 30 euros. The applicant should provide a copy of their passport and a round-trip air ticket order.  

Notice for Entry and Exit: When entering or leaving the country, it is necessary to fill in the (exit) registration card.

The visa free agreement between China and Comoros came into effect on February 26, 2016, and holders of diplomatic, official, or service ordinary passports are eligible for visa free entry.

Customs epidemic prevention and control

Comoros Customs regulations stipulate that all imported goods (including duty-free goods) shall be handled by the freight forwarding agent to fill out relevant forms and handle customs clearance matters. Customs duties include import tariffs, consumption taxes, etc. Implement a single import tariff on rice, gasoline, and diesel, with ordinary rice at 40 colones per kilogram and high-end rice at 200 colones per kilogram; Gasoline 230 colones/liter, diesel 115 colones/liter.

If passengers carry cash worth over 5 million colones (approximately 10000 euros) when entering or leaving the country, they need to declare it to the customs. The hawksbill turtle, sea turtle, speartail fish, sea cucumber and other protected species are strictly prohibited from being taken out of the country by tourists, otherwise they will face legal consequences.

Residency and Naturalization

After entering the country, one must apply for a residence visa at the Comoros National Police within 72 hours. The short-term residence visa is valid for 46 days to 6 months, and the long-term residence visa is valid for 6 months to 1 year. Applicants must bring valid identification documents and relevant supporting documents to apply.

According to the Nationality Law of Comoros, if one parent holds Comorian nationality, their children automatically acquire Comorian nationality; 2、 Minors whose parents are foreigners, who were born in Comoros, who hold a residence permit in Comoros and have resided in Comoros for five consecutive years (or more) can apply for the nationality of Comoros; 3、 Foreign citizens who hold a residence permit and have resided continuously in the province for ten years (or more) may apply for citizenship; 4、 Foreign women who register marriage with citizens of the Republic of China shall obtain citizenship of the Republic of China on the effective date of their marriage; 5、 Foreign men who register marriage with citizens of science and technology must reside continuously in science and technology for five years or more in order to apply for science and technology citizenship; 6、 Ke recognizes dual nationality.

The competent authority for nationality is the first instance court to which the party's place of birth belongs. Foreign citizens should submit relevant applications to the Moroni Court.
