Ghana's risk level is blue (low risk)
Overall, Ghana has a stable political situation and good social security, but there are still unsafe factors in some areas where violent incidents such as theft and armed robbery occur from time to time. One should avoid walking alone at night and try to avoid places with sparse human populations. If the vehicle you are driving has a flat tire on the road, passengers should leave the scene as soon as possible and arrange for local people to handle it. There has been a case of armed robbery due to the long waiting time for a flat tire in the vehicle.
The Ghanaian government irregularly detains illegal gold miners. Immigration and other law enforcement departments regularly check the travel documents and visas of foreigners, and punish them accordingly according to the seriousness of the case. Chinese citizens should abide by local laws and regulations in their daily work and life, carry valid identification with them for future reference, and enhance their self-protection awareness. Chinese citizens coming to Ghana should pay attention to the official account of the Embassy in Ghana "Chinese Embassy in Ghana" and the WeChat official account "Ghana Chinese Information" and "Ghana Chinese Media" operated by local overseas Chinese to track the local social security situation and security situation.
Ghana has fewer natural disasters, but it is important to take preventive measures against floods and fires. Ghana experiences heavy rainfall during the rainy season, resulting in poor drainage capacity within the city. Therefore, low-lying areas and open-air drainage channels should be avoided, as occasional floods may occur in the downstream areas of the Volta River Valley during the rainy season. From the end of December to February of the following year, there are sandstorms and relatively dry weather, so it is important to pay attention to fire prevention.
Ghana is a region with a high incidence of tropical diseases, including malignant malaria, cholera, typhoid fever, meningitis, hepatitis A, and other illnesses. Once suffering from fever, diarrhea and other diseases, seek medical attention promptly in the local area, and do not blindly self treat, otherwise it may endanger life. Malaria is transmitted by mosquitoes, so attention should be paid to preventing mosquito bites and avoiding outdoor activities during sunrise and sunset as much as possible. Cholera, typhoid fever, meningitis, hepatitis A and other diseases are infectious diseases, mostly caused by food contamination and unclean environment. It is important to pay attention to dietary hygiene, avoid eating raw and cold dishes such as salads, and drink hot water or bottled mineral water as much as possible.

Pay attention to preventing mosquito bites and maintain food hygiene in daily life. The national medical level in Ghana is relatively low, with the capital city Accra having 4 national hospitals and each province and region having 1 large national hospital. Except for the capital and a few major cities, most hospitals have outdated equipment and a shortage of medical supplies. There are Chinese medical clinics in Accra and Tema. It is recommended to purchase personal accident and critical illness insurance in China before going abroad, and Ghana can also handle medical insurance.
The official language of Ghana is English, and the local languages are Akon, Mole Dagobani, Ewe, and Ga Adangbe. There are four main tribes in Ghana: Aken, Mosi Dagomba, Ewe, and Ga Adangbe.
