Visa Entry

Jordanian visas are mainly divided into two categories: Visit visas and Transit visas.

The visit visa includes purposes such as business, education, tourism, family visits, religion, medical tourism, etc.

According to the number of entries, visas are divided into 1 entry (valid for 2 months), 2 entry (valid for 3 months), multiple entry (valid for 6 months), multiple entry (valid for 1 year), and multiple entry (valid for 5 years), with fees of approximately 40 days (approximately $56), 60 days (approximately $85), 120 days (approximately $170), 200 days (approximately $282), and 350 days (approximately $493), respectively. The visa stay period is generally 30 days. If you need to stay beyond the visa limit, you can apply for a free extension at the nearby police station in advance, with a stay period of 60 days. After that, if necessary, you can go to the Border and Alien Affairs Office of the Ministry of the Interior near your residence in advance to apply for an extension. The cost is about 1 day, and the stay period is 90 days. When applying, you must provide the residence confirmation certificate.

The transit visa stays for no more than 72 hours and costs approximately 40 yuan per visit.

Holders of diplomatic and official passports are exempt from visa requirements. For specific matters regarding visa applications with other passports, please consult the Embassy of Jordan in China (contact number: 010-65323906).

Chinese citizens can log in to the website of the Jordanian Ministry of Interior to apply for an electronic visa (website:) https://eservices.moi.gov.jo/MOI_EVISA/faces/Pages/Runnables/login.jsf )You can also apply for a visa on arrival at various entry ports in Jordan. When departing from China, the Chinese border usually requires obtaining a visa first. If applying for a visa on arrival for entry, it is necessary to book round-trip airfare in advance. From the actual situation in recent years, it is best to obtain a visa in advance in China to avoid being denied entry into Jordan due to various reasons.

It is necessary to ensure that the person leaves the country within the specified number of days on the visa. Those who overstay will be fined 1.5 Jordanian dinars (approximately 2 US dollars) per day until the day of departure; After paying the detention fine, one can leave the country.
