At present, the security situation in Libya remains severe and complex. Armed conflicts, kidnapping and extortion, robbery and other cases occur from time to time. The Chinese Embassy in Libya is temporarily closed, and the embassy's remaining team is currently working in Tunisia.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Chinese Embassy in Libya remind Chinese citizens not to travel to Libya in the near future, and local Chinese citizens and institutions should evacuate in a timely manner.
Given the special circumstances in the above-mentioned regions, if Chinese citizens insist on going even after the temporary reminder is issued, it may result in extremely high security risks for the parties involved and affect the effectiveness of their assistance. The costs incurred by the assistance will be borne by the individual.
