Visa Entry

Malawi accepts two forms of visa applications. Customs epidemic prevention and control

According to relevant laws in Malaysia, individuals aged 16 and above are exempt from customs duties when entering the country with the following items:

Since 2009, there has been a severe shortage of foreign exchange in Malaysia. The government has implemented strict foreign exchange controls, restricting withdrawals of US dollars and other foreign currencies, and prohibiting foreign exchange transactions outside of banks. Carrying large amounts of foreign exchange out of the country requires an authorized foreign exchange transaction bank exchange document, otherwise it will be considered illegal and the Malaysian foreign exchange control department will have the right to confiscate it.

When passengers bring foreign exchange into the country, they should fill out a foreign exchange declaration form, declare the full amount of foreign exchange to the customs, and obtain the declaration form; When leaving the country, the above-mentioned foreign exchange can be taken out by presenting the entry declaration. There is no specific limit for passengers to declare foreign exchange upon entry, but they should pay attention to property safety.

Residency and Naturalization

After entry, if foreigners want to do business and work in Malaysia, they should apply for residence permit and work permit at the Malaysian immigration office in time. 4. Business Residence Permit: issued to foreign citizens engaged in commercial activities in Malaysia, valid for 5 years and extendable for 5 years upon application.
