Visa Entry

Chinese citizens traveling to Nauru can apply for visas through the inviting party in Nauru or through the embassy or consulate of another country stationed in Nauru.

To apply for a tourist visa, documents such as a visa application form, passport and photocopy (passport must be valid for at least 6 months and have at least one blank visa page), hotel reservation proof, round-trip airfare, etc. are required. The duration of a tourist visa is generally one month, and the cost is approximately 100 Australian dollars.

In addition to the above documents, applying for a business visa also requires providing a certificate of non criminal record and an invitation letter from Nauru (the letter should state the purpose of visiting Nauru and who will bear the expenses during the stay in Nauru, and provide detailed contact information). The duration of a business visa is generally one year, and the cost is approximately 500 Australian dollars.

No visa is required for transit to Nauru, but a connecting flight ticket and a valid visa for the destination country must be provided.

Nauru prohibits passengers from bringing weapons (including spring knives and knives), explosives (including fireworks), drugs, etc. into the country.

Customs epidemic prevention and control

Passengers over the age of 16 are allowed to bring 400 cigarettes, 50 cigars, or 1 pound of tobacco into the country; Passengers over the age of 21 can bring 3 quarts of Baijiu or wine into the country. Phosphate resources are abundant, with an annual output and export volume of approximately 1 to 1.5 million tons in the 1970s and 1980s. Since the 1990s, production has been declining year by year, with a production of only about 40000 tons in 2004.
