According to the agreement between North China and Malaysia, Chinese citizens holding diplomatic, official, or service ordinary passports are exempt from visa requirements when traveling to North Malaysia.
Chinese citizens holding private ordinary passports must apply for a visa from the Embassy of Malaysia in China before entering the country.
Chinese citizens with private ordinary passports who hold a valid Class C multiple Schengen visa and whose validity period exceeds the expected stay period in North Malaysia by more than 5 days, and meet the requirements of Article 11 of the Aliens Law of North Malaysia (that is, holding legal and valid travel documents, providing relevant documents and insurance for the purpose of travel, not being included in the entry ban list of North Malaysia and not endangering public order, public health, national security and international relations in North Malaysia), can enter the country without a visa, but the duration of each stay shall not exceed 15 days, and the total duration of stay within 6 months shall not exceed 3 months.
Chinese citizens who hold valid multiple entry visas for the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada, and whose visa validity period is 5 days longer than their planned stay in North Malaysia, can enter North Malaysia without a visa, with a maximum stay of 15 days per entry. This policy is valid from January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2023.
Individuals holding passports from the Hong Kong and Macau Special Administrative Regions of China who are traveling to North Malaysia for family visits, tourism, business activities, or other purposes and stay in North Malaysia for no more than 90 days, or transit through North Malaysia, do not need to apply for a North Malaysia visa.
