Visa Entry

1. Mutual visa exemption situation.

Chinese citizens traveling to China need to present a legal and valid international travel document issued by the Chinese government and apply for a visa corresponding to their entry purpose at the Chinese embassy or consulate abroad. According to the China Venezuela Mutual Visa Exemption Agreement, holders of diplomatic, official, and service ordinary passports are eligible for visa free entry and stay for 30 days.

2. Common types of visas

This mainly includes tourist visas, transit visas, business visas, investment visas, work visas, religious visas, student visas, family visas, re-entry visas, etc. For details, please refer to the official website of the Embassy of Venezuela in China https://china.embajada.gob.ve .

3. Special circumstances.

According to relevant laws and regulations, those who voluntarily leave the country as illegal immigrants are not allowed to enter the country for two years.

Customs epidemic prevention and control

1. Customs management regulations.

Before entering the country, a Spanish/English customs declaration form should be filled out (which will be issued to passengers by flight attendants before landing). Please truthfully fill in the type and value of personal luggage items on the declaration form and make customs declarations as required. After completing the entry procedures and retrieving the luggage, the luggage ticket and customs declaration form must be handed over to the airport customs officer, who will collect the declaration form and verify the luggage before leaving the customs. The customs will conduct random inspections on passengers' luggage. If customs officials request to open the box for inspection after checking the luggage, they should cooperate. For travelers holding diplomatic passports, the customs generally offer exemption from inspection.

When the total value of personal new items carried by passengers does not exceed $1000, they are exempt from customs duties; If the total value exceeds $1000, it needs to be declared and the excess amount will be taxed.

When natural persons and legal persons bring foreign exchange exceeding 10000 US dollars or the same amount into or out of the country, they must declare the amount and transaction situation to the competent authority.

It is prohibited to bring food, synthetic narcotics, bacterial products, radioactive substances, and chemicals into the country.

2. Health quarantine.

The country is located in the tropics, and according to media reports, there have been cases or outbreaks of tropical diseases such as yellow fever, dengue fever, malaria, Zika, and chikungunya fever. According to the changes in the international epidemic situation, the Ministry of Health of the People's Republic of China periodically requires travelers to fill out personal health condition statements and present health certificates or vaccination certificates.

Residency and Naturalization

The competent authority for residency and citizenship in Venezuela is the Immigration Office (SAIME) under the Ministry of the Interior. If you apply for residency in Venezuela, you should go to the immigration office before the expiration of your visa. If the duration of one exit exceeds two years during the validity period of residence, the residence will become invalid and the corresponding visa must be obtained for returning to the committee.

Articles 33 and 34 of the 1999 Constitution of Venezuela stipulate that foreigners who apply for Venezuelan citizenship must have resided in Venezuela for 10 consecutive years when applying. A foreigner who marries a Venezuelan and applies for Venezuelan citizenship must have resided in Venezuela for five consecutive years after marriage.
